VP, Site Operations (Primary Care - Concierge Medicine)

We offer personalized, proactive primary care services, supported by a network of over 4,000 specialists and 150+ employees across 7 offices in California, Connecticut, Florida, and New York. Our goal is to expand exceptional care to a broader audience.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned operations leader to oversee a newly formed Site Operations function. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage 9 direct reports and lead a team of approximately half the company's workforce. Your responsibilities include ensuring consistent clinical workflows, driving process improvements, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
What You’ll Do
Ensure consistent execution of operational standards across all seven clinic locations, focusing on quality and member experience.
Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures, workflows, and quality benchmarks in collaboration with Central Operations.
Oversee and drive accountability for critical non-negotiables such as patient privacy compliance, workplace safety, in-office lab certification, and adverse-event handling.
Travel regularly to each site to assess operations, support teams, conduct reviews, and resolve escalations.
Champion the patient experience across all touchpoints, establishing key metrics and driving improvements.
Identify and implement scalable solutions for operational inefficiencies, supporting new site openings and expansions.
Work with physician colleagues to promote operational excellence and consistency, balancing flexibility with standardization.
Ensure operational coverage model supports round-the-clock access across all time zones and handles time-sensitive escalations outside of business hours.
People Leadership & Development
Lead, develop, and manage a team of Operations Managers and Regional Nurse Managers across all seven sites.
Build high-performing teams through hiring, onboarding, performance management, and leadership development for front-line staff.
Create a high-accountability, high-support culture that identifies, trains, engages, cultivates, and retains top talent.
Executive Partnership
Partner with the CEO and executive team to provide regular operational reporting, strategic recommendations, and proactive risk identification.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Finance, HR, Technology, and Central Ops teams to align operational priorities.
Represent Site Operations in strategic planning processes and board-level reporting as needed.
What You Bring
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus. 10+ years of health care clinical operations management experience, including 3 years managing geographically dispersed, multi-site operations and overseeing site-level managers.
Experience: Proven ability to manage site-level managers and build high-performing teams. Demonstrated experience driving standardization and change management in physician-driven organizations, balancing consistency with clinician flexibility.
Capabilities & Mindset: Passion for exceptional customer experience, strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and comfort with technology-driven change.
Location: Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, willing and able to travel frequently (40-50%) to sites in Southern California, Florida, New York, and Connecticut.
