VP Senior Software Developer Analytics, Platforms, Applications

About the role

We are seeking a VP-level Senior Software Developer to lead development and implementation of analytics tools and APIs for quants and portfolio managers. You will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on: design, build, test, and deploy scalable front-end UIs, high-performance backend services, and APIs; translate quant and portfolio-manager requirements into technical designs; collaborate with engineering, quant teams, and portfolio managers to define scope and priorities; own delivery, production reliability, and incident response; and mentor peers.

Requirements

• Strong Python proficiency, advanced SQL for complex data analysis, 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with quantitative workflows or direct experience working with quant teams is required

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong Python Proficiency is essential
• Strong Pandas and SQL proficiency is essential
• Familiarity with distributed systems, large scale data processing, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus
• Front end development experience a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus

Pay

Salary Range: $175,000.00 - $240,000.00
