VP - Relationship Manager
This is the opportunity to join a leading commodity finance franchise and build the portfolio in North America.
About the Role
As a relationship manager, you will help clients find solutions to manage their funding needs by originating, executing, and managing bespoke financial structures. You will contribute to the day-to-day coverage of existing clients within the bank’s risk appetite, originate new accounts in the commodity space, and assist in developing and executing business plans for TCF North America. The main geographical focus is North America, with a subsidiary focus on Canada and Central America.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the day-to-day coverage of existing clients within the risk appetite established by the Bank.
- Originate new accounts by actively visiting prospective clients with Coverage on their premises and attending industry conventions, leading with either lending products (senior debt) or other products of the bank.
- Originate and execute new transactions for the portfolio and continuously monitor the existing portfolio.
- Assist Credit Analysts in the credit application process, including structuring, client’s business and financial analysis, industry research, financial modeling, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing clients within your portfolio.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specific banking products, including but not limited to Trade Commodity Finance, CRTM/OTC, SIP, Syndications, and other market products.
- Identify sound revenue-generating opportunities for the Bank.
- Apply knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework required for execution.
- Travel regionally up to 50%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related studies or equivalent work experience.
- Formal credit training program.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the Trade and Commodity Finance space; US experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of lending experience, including selling traditional lending products as well as cross-selling more sophisticated structured trade, commodity finance, and corporate finance products.
- Ability to work and manage in a matrix environment.
- Strong managerial, communication (written and verbal), marketing, credit, and negotiation skills.
- Leadership and management of client financing businesses.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position).

Pay
Target hiring range: $140,000.00 - $225,000.00. The range reflects the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted based on geographical differentiation or other lawful reasons.
