For our client, we are seeking a VP - Pwr Purchasing,Transmission&Growth to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This executive will lead strategic purchasing, sourcing, and insurance oversight for a complex power-focused operation in a highly regulated market. The role will partner closely with senior leadership to align commercial decisions with capital plans, supplier performance, and broader business objectives. It will also play a key role in managing supply-chain risk, market volatility, and high-value negotiations that support reliable operations and long-term growth. Location: Orange, CT - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $209,000 – $261,000 annually Responsibilities Set the strategic vision and performance targets for power purchasing and insurance. Serve as an executive advisor on procurement strategy and commercial risk. Align purchasing strategies with business objectives and capital plans. Oversee sourcing and contract strategies for critical equipment and services. Build strategic supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality. Anticipate and manage supply-chain disruptions and market volatility. Provide executive oversight for insurance strategy and risk financing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered. 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, commercial operations, insurance, or risk financing. Proven success leading complex organizations and high-value negotiations in a large matrixed environment. Strong executive communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Knowledge of procurement governance, supplier risk management, and insurance practices.
