VP, Product Management (Virtual Card Platform)
About the Job
Taulia is seeking a VP, Product Management for the Virtual Card Platform business line. This leader will be accountable for commercial and customer success and work alongside product leaders focused on delivering solutions that help every business thrive by releasing cash locked in the financial supply chain (Supply Chain Finance, Dynamic Discounting, and Receivables Financing).
This leader will report directly to our Head of Product and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Payables solution and in architecting the commercial and banking ecosystem that powers it.
This leader will work with key stakeholders externally and internally to capitalize on Taulia’s market position and drive complex commercial deals to closure.
Responsibilities
- Ecosystem Strategy & Commercial Structuring
- Lead the commercial and legal structuring of complex multi-party partnerships (Schemes, Issuing Banks, BPSPs). Act as the primary escalation point for negotiation stalls and strategic alignment with partners like JPM, Visa, and Mastercard.
- Navigate global banking complexities, specifically regarding interchange dynamics, issuer-processor relationships, and rebate modeling to ensure product profitability.
- Provide thought leadership on strategies to solidify and expand, including consultation with customers, prospects, Taulia direct sales resources, strategic partners, and distribution.
- Partner directly with Sales Leadership to unblock and close complex enterprise deals. Serve as the executive sponsor for key accounts during the implementation and adoption phase.
- Drive the decisions to build, buy, or outsource where needed to expedite time to market.
- Understand the customer discovery craft to test hypotheses and validate demand, ensuring commercial opportunities are proven before building begins.
- Synthesize insights from extensive market research, customer and partner conversations, and competitor analysis to define unique selling points.
- Own product strategy and product management for our solutions/services.
- Develop and manage business plans for building and rollout of new products and services in your product area.
- Execution & Delivery
- Operate as a "Deal Executive" — helping manage pipeline forecasts, unblocking revenue recognition issues, and navigating customer procurement/legal hurdles.
- Work closely with Taulia Product Owners to align Product Development Roadmaps (including but not limited to business requirements, success criteria, prioritization and dependencies).
- Ensure delivery of end-to-end solution(s), including but not limited to sales enablement, customer support, compliance, and operations.
- Maintain a scrappy, hands-on approach to enablement and GTM by building your own ROI calculators, sales decks, and positioning frameworks. You verify the commercial pitch works by building the materials yourself before partnering with Product Marketing to scale.
- Lead customer pitches and drive sales conversations. You don't just support sales; you actively lead the commercial discussion and close deals.
- Utilize your cross-functional expertise to drive results and foster collaboration across departments.
- Track and manage performance against business case(s).
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

- Deep understanding of the Commercial Card ecosystem, including interchange dynamics, issuer relationships, and global payment rails.
- Legal & Compliance fluency — ability to navigate complex bank compliance requirements, review contract redlines, and ensure alignment between commercial goals and legal frameworks.
- Proven ability to operate as a "Deal Closer" — driving revenue recognition and managing high-stakes client negotiations.
- Extensive trade finance or virtual card global experience, and knowledge of key considerations for international markets.
- Product Leadership
- Successfully developed and/or managed virtual card and/or Treasury solutions.
- Understanding of all aspects of virtual cards - including but not limited to accounting treatment, legal constructs, funding considerations, and technology enablement.
