About the Role

Stord is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Product, Commerce to own the product and revenue outcomes of the Commerce suite of products. This role will drive the exponential growth of Stord’s pre- and post-purchase consumer experience products, ensuring market-leading value, customer adoption, and revenue success. The VP will build and lead a world-class product team, define the product roadmap, and align with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for leading DTC and B2B brands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Stord’s Commerce suite, covering the end-to-end pre- and post-purchase consumer experience, including products like Estimated Delivery Dates, Dynamic Ship Options, Post-Purchase Tracking, Unbox, Subscriptions Management, and Shipment Protection.
  • Build, manage, and scale a high-performing product team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive commercial alignment by partnering with Sales, Marketing, CX, Implementations, Solutions, and other teams to ensure competitive positioning, client retention, and new logo acquisition.
  • Own revenue outcomes for the Commerce suite, including software cARR growth, pricing and packaging decisions, attach rate optimization, and the launch of net-new products.
  • Establish operational excellence by defining metrics, prioritization frameworks, and cadences to ensure the team focuses on high-value work and delivers measurable outcomes.
  • Expand the product portfolio into new high-growth areas, markets, and business lines to sustain Stord’s competitive edge and revenue trajectory.
  • Collaborate with engineering, GTM, operations, finance, and executive stakeholders to influence product direction and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Leverage customer insights, data, and market trends to guide product decisions and drive adoption, ensuring products deliver tangible value to brands and consumers.

Requirements

  • Deep domain expertise in Ecommerce and Commerce, with experience operating or scaling products for Ecommerce brands/merchants. You understand the metrics and goals that matter to founders, marketing, CX, operations, and finance leaders.
  • Proven leadership of a product organization at scale, ideally in high-growth venture-backed unicorns, public software companies, or scaled logistics technology platforms. Experience managing multi-product portfolios and building high-performing teams.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on product execution, managing a portfolio of interrelated products while diving deep into details when necessary.
  • Strong grasp of Ecommerce economics, with the ability to align product decisions with unit economics, conversion metrics, and business outcomes. Comfortable engaging with C-level executives (CFO, CMO, CEO) in their language.
  • Forward-thinking perspective on consumer experiences, with a pulse on industry trends, AI, cultural shifts, and competitive dynamics. Ability to translate insights into a roadmap that stays ahead of the market.
  • Track record of hiring, developing, and coaching world-class product managers, creating a team that compounds in capability and impact over time.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption and measurable outcomes, not just feature delivery. Success is measured by revenue growth, customer outcomes, and competitive positioning.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision, tradeoffs, and metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What We Are Not Looking For

  • A pure strategist who cannot engage deeply in product details, customer problems, or execution tradeoffs.
  • A single-product specialist without experience managing broader portfolio complexity.
  • A product leader who focuses on roadmap process without clear business impact.
  • A leader who treats commercial outcomes, customer adoption, or implementation success as someone else’s responsibility.
  • A product manager who has not managed or developed other product managers.
  • A leader who cannot communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A candidate who speaks in broad product language but cannot provide specific examples of shipped products, tradeoffs, metrics, and outcomes.
