About the role

As the VP of Information Security, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies that protect our organization's digital assets. This includes overseeing cybersecurity policies, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, IT teams, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect digital assets
  • Oversee cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Manage risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security measures and improve overall IT infrastructure
  • Ensure ongoing training and awareness programs for employees regarding security best practices
  • Lead incident response efforts and manage crisis situations
  • Stay current with emerging threats and technologies in the cybersecurity landscape

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in information security roles, including experience in leading teams and managing projects
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing security programs
  • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, encryption techniques, and secure coding practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies

Qualifications

  • CISSP certification preferred
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners
  • Knowledge of cloud security and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with security governance and risk management processes
  • Experience with security audits and penetration testing

Pay

Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
