BambooHR is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Engineering to translate the company’s technical vision into an executable engineering strategy and roadmap. In this role, you will partner closely with the CTO and cross-functional leaders to shape how our products are built and evolved, while leading a high-performing engineering organization through growth and AI adoption. You will balance long-term technical direction with day-to-day execution, ensuring reliable delivery, sound architecture, and disciplined investment as BambooHR continues to scale.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Senior executive experience owning technology strategy, delivery, talent, risk, and financial outcomes for a large engineering organization.
- Proven ability to scale and lead engineering organizations through growth and change while maintaining delivery and quality.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI and ML in a product development context, with sound judgment about where and how these technologies create value.
- Strong enterprise-level systems thinking, with the ability to align product vision, architecture, execution, and organizational health.
- Credibility with executive peers and Boards, including comfort communicating risk, tradeoffs, and investment decisions.
- Track record of building, developing, and retaining senior engineering leaders.
- Financial acumen sufficient to manage significant budgets and make disciplined, long-term investment decisions.
