Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements to support the efficient and cost-effective production of Paramount’s physical productions and studio operations.
- Manage the labor grievance process, including reviewing investigations, assessing contractual positions, and negotiating resolutions with union representatives where appropriate.
- Support arbitration preparation and proceedings in matters that are not resolved through the grievance process.
- Assist senior leadership in collective bargaining negotiations by providing analysis, strategy support, and operational expertise.
- Identify issues within existing labor agreements and recommend solutions or improvements to leadership.
- Work with unions and industry partners to obtain contract interpretations, waivers, or other agreements that support production needs.
- Provide guidance to production management on disciplinary actions and personnel matters involving union employees.
- Oversee or conduct investigations related to workplace issues involving represented employees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for supervisors and production teams regarding contractual compliance and labor relations practices.
- Partner with legal counsel and internal stakeholders regarding labor-related litigation and administrative matters.
- Aid in the responses to administrative charges from agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, Labor Commissioner, and NLRB.
- Supervise and mentor members of the Industrial Relations team.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in labor relations, preferably within the entertainment industry, motion picture production, or studio operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, Business Management, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of labor law and entertainment industry collective bargaining agreements.
- Experience managing grievance procedures and workplace investigations.
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
Qualifications

Pay
Hiring Salary Range: $210,000.00 - 250,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
