About the role

Busch Gardens is a place of thrills, fun, and positive, lasting memories. The VP, Human Resources will play a major role in bringing happiness and excitement to guests while supporting the professional growth of all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all park-level people-related initiatives and functions
  • Promote park culture and workplace climate
  • Ensure everyone has the opportunity to excel in a productive, engaging, and motivating environment
  • Oversee all people-related functions, ensuring effectiveness, sound practices, efficiency, compliance, and satisfaction of business needs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to design and develop programs, policies, and compensation practices
  • Execute strategic, operational, and tactical plans
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution
  • Drive initiatives that consistently promote a positive working environment
  • Develop annual financial and capital budgets
  • Aid in the development and management of the overall labor budget and management
  • Identify internal and external trends which could impact the workplace
  • Ensure proper resources are positioned and utilized
  • Provide support to Human Resources team and operational leadership on all HR-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as company guidelines, ethical and social principles

Requirements

  • Related Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of HR leadership experience
  • Experience managing a large team that includes other leaders
  • Understanding of human resources compliance, legal, and regulatory issues
  • Proficiency in human resources labor metrics and analytics
  • Proven experience with high-volume hiring

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible to accommodate the needs of the theme park business.
