VP, Human Resources

About the role

As the VP, Human Resources, you will drive strategic HR planning and execution aligned to global and regional business and HR priorities, with a focus on talent management, leadership coaching, organizational design, inclusion & belonging, employee engagement, and creating a world-class associate experience. Reporting to the SVP of Global Human Resources, you will serve as the primary strategic business partner to four L1 leaders, providing end-to-end HR leadership globally. You will join the R&D leadership team and the global Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT), influencing the strategic direction of the HR function and shaping its evolution in strategy, organization structure, and ways of working.

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and is eligible for a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work remotely from your home.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to direct-reporting HR team members and participate as a member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), fostering coaching and collaboration across the global HR organization.
• Serve as the lead HR partner for four L1 leaders, joining their senior leadership teams to provide strategic direction in organizational design, talent management, and other key people initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert to align people programs globally.
• Function as an integrated senior leader of the business, influencing other business leaders to make data-based decisions in areas such as organizational design, talent development, pipelining, and leadership accountability to advance talent progression and business goals.
• Identify the need for HR programs and strategies to support business objectives, collaborating across the HRLT to deliver solutions in organizational development and performance.
• Align and maintain critical KPIs to drive strategic talent initiatives that impact the organization’s overarching goals, problem-solving and implementing solutions when targets are not met.
• Lead the development and execution of large-scale transformation initiatives, managing change across multiple departments and functions to achieve strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 18+ years of experience, including 6 years of people leadership experience.
• Strong track record leading in an international and matrixed HR team.
• Data-driven approach to analysis and decision-making, with the ability to interpret and develop key insights from available data to drive strategy.
• Strong work ethic and personal integrity; ability to engender trust and influence at all levels across a matrixed organization.
• Executive presence with the ability to command respect and gain credibility through sound business judgment, clear decision-making, and excellent communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Experience within the healthcare industry is preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $280,000 - $330,000. This range reflects the Company’s good-faith belief of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Schedule

This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement, allowing flexibility to work from home. Travel requirements include up to 20% domestic and international travel.
