Primary Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy & Operations
- Establish and execute a long-term vision and roadmap for Procurement aligned to Dyne’s strategic objectives
- Design and implement scalable, end-to-end source-to-pay processes, policies, and governance frameworks
- Develop and implement a fit-for-purpose operating model, including organizational design and staffing strategy
- Partner with IT to select, implement, and optimize procurement systems integrated with enterprise platforms
- Lead procurement compliance activities, including audit readiness and documentation standards
- Strategic Sourcing & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Lead complex, high-value sourcing initiatives, including RFP development, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contracting support
- Closely partner with Finance, Legal, and functional leaders to ensure alignment with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Provide strategic guidance, methodology, and governance for enterprise-wide purchasing activities
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive adoption, sponsorship, and adherence to procurement practices
- Deliver regular reporting and insights on savings, pipeline, risks, and performance against key objectives
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish and standardize supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management processes
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, including leading periodic business reviews
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues and maintain alignment
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 20+ years purchasing/procurement experience in the biotech/pharma industry
- Experience with ERP / MRP / Procurement systems, processes and tools is a must
- Previous experience of working in a global business with matrix management
- Must be a self-starter and highly organized
- Excellent planning, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experienced and comfortable leading complex initiatives of high dollar value from inception through to implementation
- Able to develop accurate and timely reports, presentations and metrics
- Effective and proven negotiating skills
- Demonstrated leadership in a high-growth or transformational environment
