About the role

E Source is a research, data/analytics, and technology focused professional services firm dedicated to the Utility industry in North America. We help utilities improve customer targeting, grid optimization, and operational efficiency through targeted services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the interconnection team, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and strong client satisfaction
  • Allocate resources effectively and review and approve technical reports prior to client submission
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members
  • Lead kickoff meetings with generation and large load developers
  • Present and explain E Source's interconnection capabilities across major independent system operators and regional transmission organizations (ISOs/RTOs)
  • Support clients throughout the full interconnection lifecycle, including capacity analysis, application support, model development, study review, and owner's engineering
  • Interpret and communicate complex study results and technical requirements clearly to clients
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients throughout the interconnection process
  • Partner with sales teams to achieve revenue targets and expand interconnection services into new markets
  • Represent E Source at industry conferences and events to build relationships and enhance market presence

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in power system engineering, transmission planning, and generator and load interconnection processes across major ISOs/RTOs
  • Strong knowledge of clean energy technologies, including renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and large load and data center projects
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and client engagements
  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (PhD or PE preferred)
  • Strong understanding of North American interconnection processes and regulatory environments

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering, utility consulting, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (PhD or PE preferred)
  • Strong understanding of North American interconnection processes and regulatory environments

Skills

The budgeted salary for this position is $320,000 USD + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

This role will be fully remote within the United States, with travel required to support client engagements and business development efforts.
