About the role
As the VP, Global Technology for a dynamic, private equity-owned manufacturing enterprise, you will be the architect of digital transformation—championing a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and continuous improvement. You will lead the evolution of business information systems, leveraging emerging technologies and agile methodologies to drive competitive advantage and operational excellence. Your vision will shape the future of our digital landscape, ensuring our systems are resilient, scalable, and aligned with both current and future business needs. Responsibilities
- Innovation Leadership:
- Identify and implement breakthrough technologies that enhance business performance
- Foster a culture of experimentation and rapid prototyping across IT and business teams
- Collaborate with executive leadership to position technology as a strategic enabler
- Continuous Improvement & Agility:
- Embed Lean and Agile principles to accelerate delivery and maximize value
- Use data-driven insights and customer feedback to iterate on systems and processes
- Lead forums and steering committees to surface opportunities for enhancement
- Business Process Transformation:
- Champion cross-functional process reengineering using digital tools
- Develop high-impact proposals with clear value analysis
- Align closely with Lean teams to ensure measurable outcomes
- Reliability & Resilience:
- Ensure integrity, performance, and security of all business systems
- Manage upgrades, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity proactively
- Establish robust policies for data security and user training
- Strategic Technology Investment:
- Drive investments that balance current needs with future scalability
- Evaluate sourcing options and negotiate favorable contracts
- Optimize total cost of ownership and minimize risk
- Talent Development & Culture:
- Build and lead a high-performing IT organization
- Promote a culture of learning, adaptability, and collaboration
- Set ambitious goals and empower teams to challenge the status quo
- Use key performance indicators to track progress and implement countermeasures for continuous growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in information systems, with a track record of driving innovation and managing complex projects
- Proven success managing diverse teams—managers, analysts, programmers, and support staff
- Exceptional business acumen and communication skills—effective written and verbal communication; able to express oneself clearly in technical and non-technical terms
- Deep understanding of manufacturing technologies and deployment methodologies
- Collaborative and effective team player, able to work with globally dispersed teams
- Core competencies: Continuous learning, flexibility, customer focus, quality commitment, and relationship-building
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software
- SAP (preferred)
- Available for domestic and international travel (up to 20%)
Pay
We provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $240,000 to $260,000 + bonus. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
