VP, Global Head of Financial Crimes

About the role

This leader will shape and oversee a global financial crimes compliance program spanning sanctions, AML, and related regulatory obligations. The role will serve as a senior subject matter expert for complex issues, guiding practical legal and technical determinations across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner closely with compliance, legal, risk, and business stakeholders to strengthen controls, support regulatory readiness, and ensure the program evolves with changing expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal subject matter expert on financial crime legal requirements
• Own technical determinations for complex sanctions and AML matters
• Lead the selection and implementation of screening and monitoring tools
• Build and mature a global financial crimes compliance program
• Establish policies, standards, and controls for financial crime risks
• Ensure program alignment with global regulatory and best practice developments
• Lead regulatory inquiries and audits related to financial crime compliance

Qualifications

• Current financial crimes certification preferred, such as CAMS, CGSS, or CFCS; JD or equivalent legal degree is a plus
• 10+ years of experience in compliance, financial crimes, AML, or related risk management within financial services
• Experience leading financial crimes compliance programs in a large, global organization
• Ability to operate across multiple jurisdictions and manage regulatory complexities
• Deep expertise in interpreting and applying sanctions regulations and AML laws

Pay

$160,000 – $200,000 annually
