VP, Funds Strategy
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced VP, Funds Strategy with a focus on our Delaware and Cayman private funds, US Collective Investment Trusts, and Canadian Trusts. This individual will play a strategic role ensuring seamless fund operations, driving efficiencies, and building a strong foundation for growth via funds. The role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in funds, institutional client service, wealth distribution channels, and regulatory frameworks.
What You’ll Do
- Cook up and execute processes and project plans for fund launches and lifecycle events, lead stakeholder meetings, and track milestones.
- Act as a central point of contact across internal teams including Business Development and Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and others to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to enhance client experience, optimize fund processes, and support scalable growth via Acadian’s funds range.
- Be a trusted subject matter expert and advisor to internal teams and institutional clients, providing proactive support, market experience, and solutions tailored to evolving needs.
- Foster effective partnerships with external service providers to drive efficiencies, reduce operational costs, and ensure resolution of outstanding questions and operational issues.
- Support client-facing and marketing teams by responding to routine fund-related inquiries, streamlining processes, and authoring fund knowledge content.
- Own and drive fund documentation and regulatory disclosures, ensuring proper transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
We’re Looking for Teammates With
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; CFA preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant experience within an asset management or financial services environment, with a focus on funds, product development, and institutional client service; experience in US Wealth and DC channels a plus.
- Strong leadership skills, ownership mentality with a proven ability to coordinate across internal stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent analytical / conceptual problem-solving skills with ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative approaches to develop actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and institutional investors effectively.
- Strong business judgment, and capable of managing high-pressure situations and delivering results.
- Experience with fund operations, compliance oversight, and service provider management (custodians, fund administrators, etc.).
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving needs in a fast-paced environment.
Pay & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 – $185,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation and includes participation in Acadian’s comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, retirement, and wellness offerings.
