Responsibilities
- Lead the definition process and own the Enterprise Architecture Vision and Roadmap that aligns technology investments with TransMedics’ business priorities, cost discipline, and global scalability.
- Establish and maintain an Enterprise Reference Architecture that integrates ERP, Command Center, aviation, digital, and data platforms within secure and efficient architectural frameworks.
- Leverage cloud-native services, APIs, automation, and microservices to enable agility and performance.
- Collaborate with business and functional leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable architecture blueprints.
- Drive architectural consistency and standardization across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
- Partner with the cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure all designs adhere to information security and regulatory requirements.
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Lead and manage the 24x7 Global Service Desk and infrastructure operations teams to deliver superior uptime, reliability, and user experience.
- Ensure 99.999% uptime for critical business systems, including the Command Center and manufacturing systems.
- Oversee the design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of all cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement and maintain observability and monitoring frameworks for proactive system reliability and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, automation, and cost efficiency through data-driven operational reviews.
- Establish key operational KPIs (e.g., system uptime, ticket resolution time, cloud cost efficiency) and report performance transparently to leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CIO and senior leadership on architecture and infrastructure priorities.
- Communicate complex technical strategies and trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences, including executives and board-level stakeholders.
- Persistently partner with regional and functional leaders (manufacturing, aviation, logistics, and digital) to ensure alignment between IT capabilities and operational objectives.
Governance, Vendor & Financial Management
- Develop and manage the infrastructure and architecture budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial discipline.
- Oversee vendor selection and performance management, ensuring strategic alignment, service excellence, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead due diligence and integration efforts for technology platforms during acquisitions and global expansion initiatives.
- Define and enforce standards and policies for change management, infrastructure operations, and technology lifecycle management.
Leadership and People Management
- Lead and inspire a global team of architects and infrastructure professionals, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Mentor and develop next-generation leaders across the IT organization.
- Foster strong collaboration across IT, finance, operations, and digital functions.
