VP, Energy Infrastructure Credit
We are seeking a Vice President for the Energy Infrastructure Credit (EIC) group. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and modeling skills, with experience in an investment role at an alternative asset manager or as a VP in investment banking. A background in energy and power (traditional or sustainable) is essential, along with a deep understanding of industry trends and credit implications. This role requires significant deal experience, leadership in transactions, and thorough due diligence capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Review quantitative economic, industry, and company research and analysis.
- Interact with management teams, private equity sponsors, banks, capital market intermediaries, and third-party consultants.
- Work as part of the EIC investment deal team to develop credit/sensitivity cases and financial analysis for investment opportunities.
- Conduct due diligence, including valuation, liquidity analysis, capital structure assessment, and management team evaluation.
- Evaluate risk/return parameters of investment opportunities.
- Draft investment memorandums and prepare due diligence materials by coordinating internal and external resources.
- Assist with the review of legal documentation related to investment opportunities.
- Present investment opportunities to the EIC Investment Committee.
- Prepare materials for ongoing monitoring of investment performance.
- Monitor investment-related developments and KPI performance for the EIC portfolio.
- Mentor associates and analysts, and review their work product.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, principal investment, credit research, and/or equity research (7+ years preferred).
- Experience in energy, power, infrastructure, and/or sustainable energy.
- Undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting.
- Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis.
- Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics, financial modeling, and credit analysis.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creativity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office.

Pay
Base Pay Range: $175,000/yr - $225,000/yr. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
