VP, Deputy General Counsel

Responsibilities

• This role has outside visibility and requires attendance at periodic industry events.
• The VP, Assistant General Counsel will report directly to, and work closely with, the General Counsel on a wide range of matters and will be a business partner who will collaborate effectively across the company to help the business identify and implement practical business solutions to achieve its goals.
• The VP, Assistant General Counsel will be highly organized, solution driven, customer service-oriented, pragmatic and proactive in their approach to managing the workload and be able to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
• The individual will work closely with the General Counsel to implement new and improved business processes at the company while providing critical advice to internal business partners regarding a wide variety of matters involving intellectual property, IT, sales and marketing, supply and procurement, information and risk management, compliance, corporate governance, employment, litigation/dispute resolution/settlements, licensing (including SaaS, licensing, sublicensing), professional services, and other complex and commercial matters.
• Advise the company and senior leadership on a broad range of federal and state regulatory and compliance matters including identifying areas of risk and making suggestions for improvement.
• Lead attorney and business partner for Human Resources to manage Labor and Employment compliance for the global team.
• Lead attorney and business partner for the Privacy and Compliance team supporting the global organization including foreign based subsidiaries.
• Manage specific litigation matters for the company, including intellectual property, real estate, employment, contract and tort claims as they arise through to resolution (in court, arbitration or settlement).
