VP, Cost Management, Data Centers

For our client, we are seeking a VP, Cost Management, Data Centers to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This leader will shape cost strategy for complex data center developments, bringing disciplined estimating and financial rigor to mission-critical projects. The role will partner closely with clients, project teams, and procurement stakeholders to improve budget accuracy, support feasibility decisions, and drive value engineering outcomes. It also includes building scalable cost management frameworks and mentoring a team that supports large, high-value programs. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $138,840 – $201,480 annually Responsibilities Develop comprehensive cost estimates for data center projects Prepare feasibility studies and cost models for various data center types Analyze costs for mission-critical infrastructure systems Lead value engineering workshops for cost savings Establish cost management frameworks and reporting protocols Advise clients on procurement strategies and cost management Mentor a team of cost managers and develop standardized processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, architecture, or a related field 12+ years of cost management and estimating experience focused on data centers Expert knowledge of data center construction costs, including MEP systems Proven experience managing costs for large-scale projects of $100M+ Deep understanding of data center design standards and their cost implications Demonstrated expertise in cost estimating software Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cash flow analysis Benefits 401(k) plan with matching company contributions Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Care Paid parental leave at 100% of salary Paid Time Off and Company Holidays Early access to earned wages through Daily Pay Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
