About the role
The VP, Client & Treasury Manager is responsible for developing and analyzing new commercial, including small business and non-profit organizations, deposit and treasury management business; expanding existing relationships; and servicing customers. Knowledge of deposit and treasury management products and services is required; commercial and consumer lending a plus.
Responsibilities
- Establishes, builds and maintains professional banking relationships with clients/prospects who utilize depository/cash management services;
- Facilitate the development of profitable and quality, mission-aligned relationships throughout the Bank including referrals to other business units;
- Develops and executes sales presentations for customers/prospects including cost/benefit analyses; service and fee comparisons and written proposals;
- Makes joint calls, when appropriate, with commercial / small business lenders, branch managers and team members to provide coaching and guidance to assist in acquiring new business and/or closing the deal;
- Entertains clients at networking events, lunches, dinners or other planned events as needed, which may require early morning or evening attendance;
- Participates in an annual incentive plan measuring new business eligible per plan document;
- Monitors and manages expenses on an ongoing basis, and prepares monthly expense reports for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required and/or minimum 8 years of experience demonstrated to be applicable to job requirements;
- Extensive and in-depth knowledge of product delivery systems;
- Comprehensive and practical knowledge of banking, operations and cash management products;
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations;
- Mentoring skills to train and guide less experienced team members and other banking departments;
- Demonstrated capacity to sell products/services within the financial services industry;
- Ability to schedule and complete tasks and duties without constant, direct supervision;
- Working knowledge of PC spreadsheet, word processing, and production software. i.e. Microsoft Office Products;
- Aptitude for detail work and ability to effectively meet specific deadlines;
- Ability to respond under pressure, and be able to effectively deal with multiple priorities and schedules;
- Clear, audible speaking voice, ability to read and comprehend handwritten forms, and the ability to hear instructions or requests;
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
