Alabama Ag Credit is a financial institution providing financing for agriculture, agribusiness, and rural real estate purchases and improvements. Headquartered in Montgomery, we serve the lower 40 counties of Alabama through ten offices. As a cooperative with over $1.5 billion in assets, we are part of the nationwide Farm Credit System.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience.
• Broad understanding of lending regulations, debt structuring, credit operations, and credit practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage capital markets relationships, serving as a key liaison for participation, origination, and portfolio activities for both buying and selling capital market transactions to the Farm Credit System, Commercial Banks, and Community Banks.
• Build strong customer and industry relationships.
• Evaluate and structure complex credit opportunities.
• Assist the Corporate Agribusiness Relationship Manager in negotiating transaction terms.
• Ensure compliance with Association standards, policies, and regulations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loan quality, and covenant compliance.
• Provide credit guidance and reporting to leadership.
• Support ongoing staff development as a credit resource and mentor.

At the discretion of Alabama Ag Credit, the position may be offered at alternate titles, and other business experience may be considered relevant.
