Description
The SVdP Workforce Development Program is a 24-week, on-the-job training program for individuals who have experienced barriers to employment (incarceration, disability, addiction, etc.) and are looking to reenter the workforce. Classes are provided weekly to help participants improve on life skills and professional development skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and serve as a positive role model to the program's selected trainees.
- Offer guidance and advice to participants during their job search process.
- Engage in activities that can be in-person or virtual, supporting participants in their transition back into the workforce.
- Be an additional support system for participants, helping them navigate challenges and build confidence.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with individuals who have experienced barriers to employment.
- Ability to provide emotional support and encouragement.
- Willingness to engage in both in-person and virtual activities.

Schedule
