About the role
Chrysalis Center is seeking a volunteer or small volunteer group to lead a weekly sewing activity at our Recreation Center in Hartford.
Responsibilities
- Teach basic hand and machine sewing skills
- Help participants mend or alter clothing
- Answer sewing questions and share techniques
- Create a welcoming space for creativity, conversation, and community
Requirements
- Enjoys sewing and sharing their skills
- Is patient, encouraging, and reliable
- Is comfortable working with adults from diverse backgrounds
- Values creating an inclusive and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- No teaching experience required
