Volunteer Public Relations (PR) Specialist - Travel & Tourism

Position Summary

Big Apple Greeter is seeking an experienced Public Relations (PR) professional, preferably with a background in travel, tourism or hospitality, to help increase awareness of our mission and programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Help Develop strategies to increase Domestic awareness of Big Apple Greeter
• Draft and execute press releases
• Collaborate with tourism boards, destination marketing organizations, and travel industry partners
• Collaborate with travel writers, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public relations, communications, media relations, or marketing
• Background in the travel, tourism, hospitality, or tour industry strongly preferred
• Established media contacts or industry relationships are a plus
