Volunteer Interpreter

About the role

We provide refugees, asylum seekers, and community members newly arriving in the Pacific Northwest the social capital necessary to transition into a successful life in the U.S. through five response areas: Community Wellness, Community Aid, Community Education, and Community Legal Clinic. Each of these areas is strengthened by the volunteer and partner organizations fostered through our focus on Community Connection.

We need interpretation support. Virtual or in-person Volunteer Interpreters will support PRSG Volunteers and community members by interpreting via phone or in-person. All scheduling will be done beforehand. As a Volunteer Interpreter, you’ll be a member of PRSG’s Interpreter Team.

Requirements

• Speak another language in addition to English
• Speakers of all languages are welcome to express interest, however, we are in specific need of Dari, Farsi, Pashto, and Spanish interpreters
