The Inter-Township Fire Department is currently recruiting for Volunteer Firefighters. The Inter-Township Fire Department serves the Township of Georgian Bluffs and Sydenham Township in the Municipality of Meaford. The Department is comprised of one (1) Fire Chief, one (1) Deputy Fire Chief and 41 Volunteer members. As a Volunteer Firefighter, you will be responsible for combating and extinguishing fires, fire prevention, protecting persons and property, performing rescue work, administering emergency medical aid, and operating and maintaining firefighting apparatus and equipment, including maintenance of the fire station. Volunteer Firefighters also participate in local public education events, attend regularly scheduled training sessions, and contribute to enhancing the safety and quality of life for residents of the Township of Georgian Bluffs and Sydenham Township in the Municipality of Meaford.
