Volunteer Coordinator Part-Time Evenings

About the role

Blessings of Hope is a nonprofit organization committed to addressing today’s global food crisis through dedicated food distribution efforts. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping to keep things running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Direct and explain all rules to volunteers when they come in for their shift and assign tasks to them.
• Coordinate volunteers, oversee their work in displaying items and assist them if needed.
• Keep the food selection area neat and organized and make sure our partner ministries and volunteers have a good variety to choose from.
• Answer any questions that our ministries partners may have.

Requirements

• Work well with teammates and have a strong desire to get along with others.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently and handle some pressure when it gets busy.
• Operate forklift and pallet jacks (training provided)
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be detail oriented and organized.
• Able to complete background check.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with hours being Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm One Saturday a month from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
