Volunteer Compassion Ambassador

Responsibilities

• Offer one-on-one peer support to caregivers through regular check-ins.
• Provide guidance, emotional support, and practical advice based on experience and training, while maintaining healthy boundaries.
• Participate in monthly mentor check-ins and peer learning sessions with fellow volunteers.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the Hub’s values of compassion, respect, and inclusion.
• Refer caregivers to appropriate community resources when needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in dementia care or caregiving.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to complete training.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries.
• PREFERRED: Experience working with older adults, trauma-informed care, or peer support.
