Established in 2003, i9 Sports offers youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-17 in popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. About the role
The Volunteer Coach is a hands-on role that leads athletes and provides expert instruction in their designated sport. The Volunteer Coach is directly responsible for delivering the i9 Sports Experience and driving a positive youth sports culture on the field.
Responsibilities
- Lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
- Teach and demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
- Communicate game day information to players and parents using established platforms
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, 7 weeks)
