About the role

Summit Pacific Medical Center is a vibrant and expanding public hospital district that operates a Critical Access Hospital with a Level IV trauma designation, three rural healthcare clinics, and a seven-day-a-week urgent care clinic. Our vision is “Through Summit Care, we will build the healthiest community in the Nation.” Our hospital is unique due to its size and accessibility. We pride ourselves on our ability to give patients quick access to a provider.

Responsibilities

• Supporting patients and visitors
• Aiding staff with non-clinical duties
• Assisting with wayfinding and hospitality services
• Participating in community and employee events
• Performing administrative tasks

Requirements

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age unless special approval is granted. Some volunteer positions may require additional onboarding, training, screenings, or certifications depending on the role and department placement.

Qualifications

Volunteers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, compassion, and strong communication skills while representing the organization.

Skills

Volunteers are expected to have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
