About the role
The Volume Management Rep Sr. is responsible for coordinating with customers and company partners to improve the gathering and processing of gas, balance the systems and meet our contractual obligations. You will also evaluate data to minimize risk. The ability to communicate, evaluate issues and identify resolutions within a timely manner are keys to success!
Responsibilities
- Monitors pipeline conditions; anticipates potential issues that would impact customer service and collaborates to find innovative solutions
- Promotes services to all customers; is proactive in addressing situations or concerns
- Provides accurate and timely information to customers
- Performs all scheduling processes and procedures
- Possesses a detailed understanding of all agreements and physical configurations for area of support
- Mentors others
- Provides input into departmental planning, processes and policies
- Leads others in manager's absence
- Without supervision, nominates, schedules, confirms and monitors gas flow to pipelines from tailgate of plants and from other interconnects, ensuring delivery of receipts within contract requirements
- Handles most complex pipelines
- Tracks volume requirements and flow vs. sales with pipelines and makes decisions relative to the OBA balances
- Monitors sales and reporting and engages in negotiation activities relative to gas control, transportation and the pipeline grid and daily sourcing optimization
- Makes decisions on various options for gas flow, coordinating with field and plant personnel to redirect gas flow when problems arise in the plants or systems or on the pipeline
- Verifies volumes directly with operations and/or through monitoring SCADA, provides daily volume estimates to marketing for future sales, communicates with operations to ensure flow rates consistent with pipeline capabilities, and confirms volume information to pipelines
- Leads lower level schedulers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience and minimum four (4) years' related experience
- Must be available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
- May be required to work overtime
Qualifications
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Proficient knowledge of Gaskit, SAP, Sharepoint
- Proficient knowledge of key functionality related to customer service (marketing, commercial, contracts and accounting)
- Knowledge of energy industry
