This is an exempt, hybrid role in the Project Management, Voice Department reporting directly to the Director of Project Management. Preferred location is field/remote.

About the Role

The Project Manager develops engaging relationships with key voice client projects and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver high-quality projects according to plans. Functions as a subject-matter expert and advisor to collaborate with, mentor, and support team members.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with a variety of teams to create long- and short-term project plans to complete on time and within budget, including establishing schedules, targeting milestones, and setting expectations.
  • Work independently to ensure implementations are rolled out with careful due diligence, focusing on quality to prevent network failure or re-work.
  • Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
  • Make recommendations and effective decisions when presented with multiple options for progressing with a voice project.
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to set expectations for team synergy.
  • Track project status, periodically generate management reports, and attend meetings to coordinate project plans.
  • Perform quality control throughout project development to maintain expected standards.
  • Adjust schedules and targets as needs or financing for the project change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, information technology, network engineering, management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of customer-facing work experience as a project manager in the information technology sector, focused on voice technology.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2) certification is a plus.
  • Discipline in change control, budget management, and on-time delivery performance; ability to prioritize and optimize results across workload and projects.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of voice network concepts and connectivity; data networking concepts highly desirable.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data networks, hosted and PBX voice applications.
  • Dedication and commitment to timely and effective problem resolution.
  • Mitel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and ownership for work performed.
  • Ability to provide technical support for co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills; able to respond promptly to client needs and resolve issues.
  • High attention to detail, proactive, organized, reliable, and process-focused with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a customer service focus.
  • Willingness to share knowledge with team members, superiors, and users.
  • Strong interest in technical products and solutions; high learning agility.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member in a high-volume work environment with a high level of detail and conscientiousness.
  • Intermediate-level PC skills with proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Project).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
