About the role

The ideal candidate is a 0-1 visionary who is passionate about using AI in building new product offerings that meaningfully reduce toil and make logistics better. Our team is making Augie's voice product world-class — call experience quality (latency, naturalness, interruption handling, voice selection) and seamless workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Drive roadmap for call experience: voice quality, latency budgets, interruption/turn-taking, prompt composability, evals
  • Own the voice workflow portfolio (POD, T&T, Carrier Selection) and prioritize new ones based on customer/FDE signal
  • Partner with infra (Twilio, ElevenLabs) and internal eng on reliability, sub-accounts, telephony foundations
  • Define what "good" looks like for calls — call evals, in-call transcripts, portal metrics — and use that data to drive the roadmap
  • Spend real time in the product: listen to live calls and recordings, ride along with FDEs, find failure modes before customers do. Use that knowledge to build the product vision.
  • Write detailed product requirements, narratives, and technical specifications
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of AI-driven agents for the logistics world by working closely with engineering, product design, and data science teams
  • Define the path from one-off voice agent builds to a repeatable system. That may mean better authoring tools, reusable components, or self-serve flows — you'll figure out the right shape with eng.

Requirements

  • Have 6+ years of product management or related industry experience, previous experience with a voice product is a huge plus
  • Hands-on builder energy — comfortable hacking together prototypes, running prompt/eval loops, writing scripts to dig through call data etc.
  • Obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
  • Proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones
  • Showcase strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities
  • Insatiable curiosity, undying passion, and ownership to take on hard real-world problems

Qualifications

  • Bonus Points For Experience building AI agentic applications
  • Experience with Open AI, Anthropic, Llama, and other leading LLMs and Cartesia, Eleven Labs voice models
  • Master’s further education or experience in engineering or computer science
  • Prior experience in Logistics, Freight brokerage, Shipping, and Warehouse technologies
  • Machine learning, operations research and optimization, developing large software systems, logistics & fulfillment industry, pricing algorithms, shipping technology

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, React, Redux, AWS, and other relevant technologies

Benefits

  • Equal Opportunity Employer
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodation
  • Augment complies with fair-chance / ban-the-box laws
