Voice Instructor - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and implement music lessons.
• Actively participate by demonstrating specific class instrument.
• Responsible for taking attendance and managing classroom behavior.
• Interact and communicate with participants and parents.
• Communicate and schedule makeup lessons.
• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to both internal and external customers.
• Follow Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ knowledge and experience with instrument teaching methods.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• CPR/AED certified or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
• Mandated Reporter for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

Physical Demands

• Frequently remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Occasional repetitive use of hands/arms.
• Continuous use of hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation.
• Must be able to hear.

Environmental Demands

• Work in an indoor environment with moderate lighting and above average noise.

Hours

Wednesday evenings (starting January 2025) 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.; 30-minute private sessions

$16-$18 per 30-minute lesson
