Voice instructor needed in Fairfax, VA

About the role

Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Voice. We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio location in the Fairfax, VA area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP!

Responsibilities

• Teach voice lessons in students' homes, in your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam.
• Set your own schedule and lesson plans.
• Be organized and on time for all lessons.
• Communicate regularly with the office.

Requirements

• Great with kids and love teaching.
• Must have either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to set your own curriculum/lesson plans.
• Experience with remote teaching (webcam).

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling.

Benefits

• Independent contractor status.
• Paid between $20-$30 per hour, depending on travel time, experience, and student retention rate.
• No advertising, marketing, or SEO work required.
• Light workload due to handling all the billing and bringing students in.

Though some students are okay to take lessons via webcam, most students are hoping to go to their instructor's studio or have their instructor come to their home. You must wear a mask, sanitize your hands, & practice social distancing when applicable.
