About the role
We are seeking a Per Diem Vocational Nursing Instructor to join our dynamic team. This position involves visiting clinical sites and teaching both lecture content and clinical rotations.
Responsibilities
- Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies / techniques in teaching
- Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning
- Aid in reviewing and revising of syllabi for specific courses within the program and instructional guidelines
- Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner
- Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms and assist with program data collection that meets set due dates and deadlines
- Update and maintain student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements
- Teach courses at various times and locations in response to program needs
- Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations (clinical rotations can be days, and/or evenings, on weekdays and/or weekends)
- Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, take responsibility for staying current with college updates
- Actively participate in committees as assigned, based on availability, taking into consideration teaching responsibilities as priority
Requirements
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with BSN and 3 years of nursing experience, or RN/LVN with Associates and 6 years of nursing experience
- Current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Nursing
- Experience demonstrating: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings; ability to work independently without close supervision; broad knowledge of nursing sciences; successful handling of day-to-day operations in the nursing lab; proficient, strong communications skills (verbal and written); current knowledge/experience in clinical setting
- Must obtain ATI, Assessment Technology Institute Certification within 30 days of hire (offered by Unitek)
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification

Pay
$46-$50/hr
Schedule
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7am-3pm availability. Additional shifts and opportunities may also be available.
