About the role
We are looking for a Vocational Nursing Instructor to join our team on evenings and weekends. Must be available to work 12-hour shifts on Saturdays for clinicals.
Responsibilities
- Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies/techniques in teaching
- Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning
- Assist with reviewing and revising syllabus for specific courses within the program and instructional guidelines
- Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner
- Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations
- Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms; assist with program data collection to meet set due dates and deadlines
- Assist with updating and maintaining student files related to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements
- Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to program needs
- Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations (clinical rotations can be days, evenings, weekdays, and/or weekends)
- Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure and stay current with college updates
- Actively participate in committees as assigned, balancing teaching responsibilities as a priority
Requirements
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and 12-hour shifts on Saturdays for clinicals
