Vocal Music Lessons Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly 25-50 minute private and small group vocal lessons throughout the day across three high school campuses.
• Travel to network sites to tutor, prepare, and ensure quality for scholars and ensembles performing at network events (e.g., FOPA, Pride in Performance, Gala, Commencement) or external competitions.
• Curate and manage a Network Music Library, including purchasing sheet music, acquiring performance rights, copying scores, and cataloging repertoire to support teaching and lesson planning.
• Provide professional development and coaching to music staff and choir teachers to support instructional quality.
• Serve as a resident piano accompanist for rehearsals, performances, professional development, and other events, including recording piano backing tracks.

Qualifications

• Expertise in vocal technique, pedagogy, repertoire, and performance practice, with experience teaching both male and female singers across all ranges, from bass to soprano.
• Strong understanding of a wide range of genres, including classical, Broadway, and contemporary music.
• Effective coaching of vocal health and approach for both solo and choral singing.
• Strong music theory and piano skills.

Pay

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Compensation Range: $65,000 - $65,000 USD
