About the role
IEM is seeking a Full Time - Verification of Benefits and Quality Control Specialist (VOB QC Specialist) to review applications for quality, comprehensiveness, and eligibility while collaborating with case managers. The role requires maintaining an understanding of program policies and procedures and supporting quality control projects.
Responsibilities
- Review records for duplication of benefits (DOB), fraud, waste, inconsistencies, and investigate issues.
- Collaborate with internal partners to resolve problems and communicate findings.
- Analyze and verify documentation for inconsistencies, accuracy, and discrepancies.
- Understand program needs, policies, and departmental processes.
- Contribute to updates and improvements to Verification of Benefits & Quality Control policies and processes.
- Follow-up on identified compliance issues, initiate corrective actions, and implement program controls.
- Manage workload, productivity, and communications to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant processing.
- Communicate professionally and make sound decisions in response to questions and requests.
Requirements
- Education: An Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited university in a relevant field.
- Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience providing high-level review of documentation and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to exercise impartial, unbiased professional care when reviewing case files.
- Experience with MS Office and Adobe Reader.
Qualifications
- Experience with housing policy, materials, and processes.
- Documented experience with document verification, quality assurance and control, and/or appeals processing.
- A working knowledge of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Award, 2 C.F.R. Part 200, especially Subpart F – Audit Requirements of the Uniform Guidance, implementing the Single Audit Act.
