About the Role

Unitek Learning is seeking experienced nursing educators to deliver high-quality instruction in both classroom and clinical settings. This role involves teaching courses at various times and locations to meet program needs, including lecture content and clinical rotations that may occur on days, evenings, weekends, or weekdays.

Responsibilities

  • Improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative teaching methodologies and techniques.
  • Utilize online activities to enhance course content during interactive teaching and learning.
  • Review and revise syllabi and instructional guidelines for specific courses within the program.
  • Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with new technologies and safety regulations relevant to nursing education.
  • Maintain student records, including attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms, and assist with program data collection to meet deadlines.
  • Update and maintain student files related to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational prerequisites.
  • Teach courses at various times and locations as needed by the program.
  • Participate in professional development to maintain licensure, including earning continuing education hours and staying current with college updates.
  • Actively participate in assigned committees, balancing teaching responsibilities as a priority.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current licensure in the state where you are applying to teach.
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or credentials as required by state regulations.
  • Ability to meet faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.

Qualifications

  • Current knowledge of nursing practice and ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Broad knowledge of nursing sciences and experience in day-to-day operations of a nursing lab.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Up-to-date immunizations and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Pay

$45–$50 per hour, depending on experience.
