VMware NSX | Networking and Security Virtualization Systems Engineer

About the Role

In this position, you will work within a team to maintain, adjust, load balance, and configure Citrix Netscalers.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure vCenter server
• Work with ESXi cluster servers
• Maintain strong technical knowledge of VMWare products: vSphere, vCenter, &/or Aria Suite
• Implement NSX, SRM &/or vSAN in disaster recovery (DR) or failover operational environments
• Design and architect complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning
• Monitor the health of virtual machines (VMs) operating in various data centers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)
• At least 16 years of overall IT experience
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in programming, computer science, or a related field
• Understanding of network & storage architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP)
• Experience virtualizing enterprise applications
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with VMWare 7
• Strong networking expertise
• Experience with cloud migration
• Experience with automation/operations integration across IT infrastructure

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $149,603 – $254,317. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
