VMware Hosting & Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support hybrid cloud environments across VMware and Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure by managing virtualized hosting environments, cloud resources, networking, storage, backup solutions, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Support hybrid cloud integrations between on-premises VMware environments and Azure.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure operational excellence.
• Implement infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Azure Automation, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform.
• Manage backup, recovery, security, and compliance controls across hosting and cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis for service disruptions.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and application teams to deliver cloud and hosting solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting VMware infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and administration.
• Knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Certifications preferred but not required include Azure Admin Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) or relevant cloud, virtualization and infrastructure certification.
