About the role
VITAS Healthcare is a mission-driven end-of-life care provider with a focus on compassion, support, and growth. As a VITAS Representative, you'll be part of a culture that invests in your development, goals, and impact.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders, and professionals
- Confidently guide referral sources through understanding the prognosis, the value proposition of hospice, and how to have effective conversations for families facing serious illness
- Champion the benefits of the Medicare hospice benefit
- Work alongside clinical partners to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years sales experience or in healthcare services preferred
- Participated in competitive team environment that involved individual accountability and teamwork
- Demonstrated examples of critical thinking and creating solutions
- Past military service a plus
- Experience with volunteer organizations a plus
- Hospice experience preferred but not required
- Evidence of achieving sales goals within the market and/or demonstrating a track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals
- Strong customer service, sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of a need satisfaction selling process
- Ability to manage a territory, conduct sales calls, and generate sales by building long-term business partnerships
- Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Other acceptable licenses include RN, LPN/LVN, or Social Work (SW)
