CVOEO is hiring a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Site Coordinator in Addison County that oversees the daily operations of a VITA site, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate-income individuals, older adults, persons with disabilities, and individuals with limited English proficiency. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a VITA site, ensuring delivery of high-quality, free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate-income individuals, older adults, persons with disabilities, and individuals with limited English proficiency.
- Train, support, and supervise volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with IRS VITA/TCE program requirements.
- Promote a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment for clients and volunteers.
- Support and communicate with volunteers to maintain effective site operations throughout the tax season.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in an appropriate discipline plus two years of community service experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Accounting and/or income tax preparation experience highly desirable.
- Sound understanding, interest in and commitment to those living in poverty and the overall needs and problems of the low-income community.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client information.
- Must have a valid license, clean driving record, access to reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel within the CVOEO service area.
- Ability to uphold safety standards.
Pay
$23.58-$26.41 per hour
