Visual Merchandising Training Specialist I

About the Role
The Visual Merchandising Training Specialist I will be responsible for training, coordinating, and executing merchandising efforts in the assigned market. This individual visits stores and executes shop installations within Carhartt's Wholesale Division to ensure that shops provide an exceptional consumer experience. The role involves communicating store information across different levels of the organization and maintaining relationships with cross-functional partners. Frequent travel is required. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities
- Visit Carhartt Wholesale accounts with designated selling spaces/shops and provide visual merchandising training to store management and associates.
- Provide store-level information to assist in developing new processes and programs for the visual merchandising department.
- Identify opportunities to elevate shop presentation, ensure Carhartt standards and guidelines are met, and deliver associate training that drives revenue.
- Execute Carhartt shop installations.
- Communicate store-level feedback to cross-functional partners (Sales, Retail Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising) and across different levels of the organization, including the Senior Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with Carhartt partners to develop strategies supporting retail merchandising activities, including store evaluations, redesign of retail floors, seasonal floor sets, signage, lifestyle elements, and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising or Marketing, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- 2 years of visual merchandising, visual design, or marketing experience, with emphasis in a multi-retailer/manufacturer’s environment.
- Softlines/apparel experience preferred.
- Retail floor planning software experience preferred.
- Experience with retail plan-o-grams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of management and retail partners.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing on a computer.
- Moderate lifting may be required (up to 30 lbs.).
- National travel required (up to 70%).
- Willingness to work some weekends if necessary.
- Retail store environment.
- Remote position with no regular on-site requirement; travel on-site limited to special events.
