Visual Merchandising Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Visual Merchandising Manager for our client's wholesale channel to lead visual presentation strategy and execution across key wholesale accounts. This role is responsible for translating brand and seasonal campaigns into compelling in-store experiences, developing planograms and guidelines for partners, managing cross-functional projects, and ensuring consistent brand presentation and sales performance across wholesale doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies and seasonal presentations tailored for wholesale partners to drive brand consistency and sales.
- Create detailed planograms, floor layouts, fixture specifications, and visual toolkits for wholesale accounts and distribute timely implementation materials.
- Led end-to-end project management for wholesale visual initiatives, including timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate closely with sales, account management, product, and marketing teams to align visual plans with assortment, promotions, and go-to-market calendars.
- Manage relationships with wholesale partners and third-party vendors to ensure correct fixture installation, visual compliance, and timely replenishment of merchandising assets.
- Provide training, guidance, and regular communication to wholesale retail teams and representatives to support accurate execution of visual standards.
- Monitor and analyze in-store performance and visual compliance, leveraging sales data and field feedback to iterate and optimize visual strategies.
- Support merchandising for trade shows, seasonal rollouts, and special events as needed, including creation of displays and collateral.
- Ensure quality control and consistency of brand presentation across all wholesale touchpoints and report on program effectiveness to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a visual merchandising environment, preferably within the Wholesale environment, with 1-3 years at the regional corporate level.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fashion design, visual merchandising, or retail marketing/management.
- Ability to visualize and articulate concepts for 3-D environments using VM software programs for floor set creation (e.g., IWD).
- Excellent taste level in merchandising, styling, fixture design, store layout, and directives.
- Strong independent working capability, fostering trust, collaboration, and teamwork, and consistently displaying a strong sense of ethics and integrity.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Extensive knowledge of fashion, design, and visual merchandising trends.
- Ability to travel for supervising projects (overnight or weekends may be required).
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred.
- Proficiency with Asana is preferred.
