Visual Merchandiser Wexford/ Pittsburgh

Levin Furniture & Mattress is a family-owned company with a history of caring for our employees, customers, and community. This position covers Levin store locations in the specified areas.

About the Role

Creates vignettes that visually enhance merchandise to attract customers. Maintains the visual displays of the showroom, places incoming accessories, and reworks displays for new or sold product movement. This role includes traveling to other Levin stores in the Pittsburgh area as needed on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork by working effectively with peers, supervisors, and co-workers, making decisions in the best interest of the entire operation.
• Critique the sales floor daily and review ISTs to determine product placement in the showroom.
• Maintain and prepare the visual content of the showroom on a weekly basis.
• Accessorize and replenish product vignettes.
• Provide design assistance to sales staff and customers to complete sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with the Visual Merchandise Manager, Store Managers, and Merchandise Manager through a daily Critique Sheet.
• Assist dock personnel with the receipt and placement of product to replenish visual displays.
• Provide direction to dock/warehouse personnel in the flow and placement of product.
• Prioritize workload to complete all assigned daily tasks within the required time limit.
• Assist in the display design and setup of new or remodeled showrooms as a member of the design team.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of previous experience in fashion merchandising, retail merchandising, furniture retail, or visual design/merchandising is highly preferred.
• A degree in Interior Design is highly preferred, or a combination of experience and college/technical school art or design education.
• Must have a car and the ability to drive/commute to other store locations.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Physical Demands

• Ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing 10 lbs, frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and occasionally push and pull objects weighing 100+ lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and reach regularly.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screens.
• Ability to use hands to type information into a computer and use hand tools.
• Ability to paint and wallpaper displays; place signage.

Schedule

Full-Time, 40 hours/week. Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm.
