What You Get To Do
- Aid in satisfying the visual display needs of all Merchandise business units.
- Create and implement plans for visual displays using carpenter and craftsman skills.
- Install and maintain display fixtures, displays, or props at Merchandise locations.
- Maintain visual displays, including overhead displays, display cases, and windows.
- Work at store sets and remerchandising according to corporate and department merchandising standards.
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and interacting with guests, answering questions, and resolving guest issues.
- Offer product information to guests with a focus on up-selling merchandise and increasing sales.
- Take regular and special inventory counts in an accurate and timely manner.
- Minimize the loss of company property and merchandise through internal or external damage or theft.
- Maintain merchandise levels and notify leadership of inventory needs throughout the day.
- Perform stock duties and keep merchandise counters and displays clean and organized.
What It Takes To Succeed
- Three years of visual merchandising experience.
- Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain a company driver's license.
- Basic carpentry skills, including painting, building, and repairs.
- Visual merchandising skills, such as knowledge of fixtures and signage requirements.
- Successful implementation and execution of seasonal and specific planograms.
- Inventory management abilities.
- Ability to climb.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional guest service skills.
- Completion and passing of all training for the Merchandise department.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable with performing all cleaning duties, including the use of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including openings, mid-shifts, and closings; nights, weekends, and holidays.
