Visual Merchandiser

About the role

The Visual Merchandiser at Ashley Furniture will contribute to the company's high-performance culture by enhancing the visual presentation of two store locations. This role involves creating and maintaining displays that inspire customers and showcase the Ashley brand as the top home furnishings retailer.

Responsibilities

• Design and set up inspiring displays to help customers visualize furniture in their homes.
• Distribute accessories and wall decor strategically to enhance the showroom presentation.
• Refresh and maintain displays and the sales floor throughout the day to keep the store visually appealing and customer-ready.
• Process inbound product, tag, and place incoming product to maintain a fully stocked showroom.
• Plan and organize floor moves to showcase new product and highlight current home decor trends.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure timely completion of all tasks related to display product movement.
• Learn about the furniture retail industry to deepen understanding of Ashley's products.

Requirements

• Visual merchandising experience in a retail setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Comfortable using Excel spreadsheets.
• A keen eye for design and a passion for styling beautiful, cohesive spaces.
• Ability to lift heavy furniture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in visual merchandising or a similar field.
• Experience with floor moves and product placement.
• Knowledge of furniture retail and home decor trends.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

This position requires travel between store locations as needed.
